The A720 is the Edinburgh City Bypass, a dual carriageway arc round the south of the city from Old Craighall on the A1 to Hermiston Gait on the M8. Sheriffhall roundabout, where it meets the A7, is its last flat junction and its most reliable queue, and the Straiton and Gogar junctions fill up at peak times too.
